I remember it like it was yesterday… I can hardly believe it’s been 12 years since we opened FloBama in Downtown Florence, AL. (Time Flys when your having fun)

It was a couple of weeks before opening and I had picked the perfect name but had no idea what I wanted as a brand logo.

We had put everything we had into this place but what was going to be our brand voice, color scheme, logo, and image of our business?

After sleepless nights and lost in our thoughts we decided to hire help. That help was in a local marketing agency.

We wanted to go local because local means they are just like us, know where we come from, and can help with things that locals may like or may not like.

Because we know now how important that was we have decided to do the same for others looking for logo branding as we have had years of experience since we first reached out to our creator.

A couple of Weeks Later...we had our first meeting with our marketing company, man I was excited, nervous, anxious but ready.

I remember the lady coming into the room and showing us 4 different logo designs. My brother and I took a look at each other and I said I think we need to go back to the drawing board.

We pointed out what we didn’t like about each other so that they could get a better idea of what we were trying to accomplish. This is now our Brand Voice our Why?

It’s funny that our voice just came on its own. That’s the benefit of having a voice that is you and not one that you are trying to be.

The second meeting…it came down to the next meeting and she turned 4 more designs over and we both knew which one was our logos. It just came naturally. We made some color changes and within a couple of days, our logo was born and ours.

I thought this real story based on my experience will inspire you to find your perfect logo or brand voice. To be yourself, and be true to your vision until you reach it.
